In connection with the BLOW x BLOW exhibition by deegan day design, on display in the SCI-Arc Gallery through December 13, SCI-Arc is hosting a series of informal discussions with groundbreaking artists working in new media.
First in the series, An Te Liu, with For Your Art founder Bettina Korek, is scheduled Monday, November 9, 7:30pm, in the SCI-Arc Gallery.

An Te Liu's installations and sculptures explore issues of function, malfunction and cultural coding in our built and hypothesized environments. He is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Toronto, where he also holds an Adjunct appointment in the Department of Fine Art.
Liu's work has recently been exhibited at Art Berlin Contemporary, Galerie Ben Kaufmann and the Künstlerhaus Bethanien, MKG127 (Toronto); 11th Venice Biennale of Architecture, SFMOMA; and the 2009 ev+a Exhibition of Visual Art (Limerick, Ireland). Currently he is showing work at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (Humlebaek, Denmark), Exhibition (New York) and preparing a large scale installation for the Leona Drive Project in Toronto. The monograph An Te Liu: Matter was published earlier this year and a feature on him recently appeared in DAMn magazine. Liu is represented by MKG127.
