SCI-Arc director Eric Owen Moss and Coy Howard discuss the two-part exhibition in the SCI-Arc Gallery
A two-part exhibition by SCI-Arc long-time faculty member Coy Howard is being presented in the SCI-Arc Gallery this fall, with Part II: Whispers and Echoes, opening on November 19 and remaining on view through January 9, 2011.
Howard's first exhibition, From Hand to Mouse, From Furniture to Architecture, addressed the act of seeing and the resultant sense of wonder. The exhibition comprised 50 images of three of Howard's speculative architectural projects and a selection of furniture designs that investigate formal inventiveness and individual artistic vision.
Howard's second exhibition, Whispers and Echoes, explores perennial issues of architectural experience in an installation of shrouded forms and Howard’s enigmatic writings on the definition of architecture.
