Argentinean art and architecture historian Jorge Francisco Liernur is renowned for his comprehensive studies on contemporary architecture in Latin America and Argentine. Publications include The Threshold of the Metropolis, Architecture in 20th Century Argentina, Writings on 20th Century Architecture in Latin America, The Shadow of the Avant-Garde, Hannes Meyer in Mexico, and Dictionary of Architecture in Argentina.

Liernur is currently Dean of the School of Architecture at the Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires, where he also teaches Modernity and Urban Culture.
