Beyond-media is an international festival of architecture and media which will be holding its ninth edition in Florence, Italy from July 9 – 17, 2009. The festival discusses the most current visions of contemporary architecture and the relation between architecture and media. This edition is based on the theme of visions. The event is held at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence and is curated by Marco Brizzi and Paola Giaconia.

“Vision” is an installation representing SCI-Arc in Spot-on-Schools. The installation was constructed by a team of SCI-Arc students who contributed to the design process, cost analysis, structural behavior, modeling and fabrication of the wall. Students have been exposed to a broad range of experiences in this workshop leading to a better understanding of potential relationship of design and fabrication logics.
