Alumni Jason Sidelko (MArch2 '07) and Santino Medina (MArch2 '06), of Gehry Technologies lectured at Habitat Expo 2010, which took place in Mexico City May 20-22.
Centered on interior design, architecture and design, Habit Expo is a key event for the architectural community in Mexico. The show brings together design leaders that practice in Mexico and abroad and introduces cutting edge products. In its 10th anniversary, Habitat Expo 2010 featured presentations and discussions focused on the culture of good design, as well as current trends for sectors including hospitality, commercial, and residential.
Sidelko and Medina presented several projects they are consulting on, including the Museo Soumaya by LAR in Mexico City. They also showcased Gehry Technologies’ use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3d digital models to generate pre-build digital views of the project, detect conflicts in the project, help with budgeting and quantity takeoffs, scheduling and sequence planning.
