Two homes designed by veteran SCI-Arc alum Dean Nota (B.Arch '74) are featured in two new publications, Avi Friedman's Narrow Houses published by Princeton Architectural Press, and California Cool: Residential Modernism Reborn by San Francisco photographer Russell Abraham.
The Berryman Residence (shown here), featured in California Cool, is located on a thirty-by-eighty-foot slice of ocean front sand located on The Strand in Hermosa Beach, a beachfront community on the western edge of metro Los Angeles.
The Harless Residence, featured in Narrow Houses, is located in Manhattan Beach, situated to the north of Hermosa Beach. The 2,250 square-feet family home occupies a small, narrow parcel and organized vertically on three levels.
