Several projects designed by faculty members Herwig Baumgartner and Scott Uriu of Los Angeles-based BplusU are featured in the March issue of Los Angeles Magazine and a recent issue of Be One magazine.
BplusU's Frank and Kim Residence (shown above) is the cover story in this month's issue of Los Angeles Magazine, dedicated to Los Angeles home design.
"When owners John Frank and Diann Kim approached the downtown architecture firm B+U about remodeling their master bedroom, architects Herwig Baumgartner and Scott Uriu saw the potential for evoking the sweep of the trees with a man-made canopy that would also serve as a vibrant entry to the home. The old garage became a new master bath with a courtyard garden shielded from the view by frosted glass walls."

City Futura, a project designed by BplusU for the 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale, makes the cover of Be One magazine's November 2010 issue (shown here), which includes an exclusive interview with Baumgartner and Uriu and an extensive article on their recent work.
Highlighted designs include the Firestone project, the Frank and Kim residence, Soundcloud and the Taipei Performing Arts Center. City Futura is currently on view in the SCI-Arc Library Gallery, part of the Audience of Objects installation curated by SCI-Arc Director Eric Owen Moss.
