Manferdini Studio Travels to Shanghai
SCI-Arc students in the Artificial Matters vertical studio led by Elena Manferdini visited the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai this month to conduct research for their studio projects.
Manferdini's studio focuses on taking artificial and optic techniques used in art making and applying them to an architectural project. This term, students were tasked to design a pavilion for the Milan 2015 EXPO, based on the master-plan developed by Herzog & deMeuron.

The Shanghai EXPO 2010, which picked up headlines around the world in the past year, is scheduled to close October 31.
