Diaz Alonso Talks Virtual Architecture at USC-5D Institute Hosted Panel

SCI-Arc Graduate Programs Chair Hernan Diaz Alonso participates in The City & The Book, a two-evening trans media design summit hosted September 20-21 by the USC School of Cinematic Arts in association with the 5D Institute.

The City & The Book, Sept 20-21, at USC School of Cinematic Arts, 7-10pm,
followed by a reception on both evenings

The event features an interdisciplinary network of writers, architects, engineers and artists in a multi-panel provocative and disruptive discussion of the possibilities of dynamic environments in digital publishing, virtual architecture, and interactive media, as well as the role of world building in the future of storytelling.

Panelists include, among others, Greg Lynn, architect, author and educator; Alex McDowell, award-winning production designer, co-founder of the 5D Institute; Tracy Fullerton, Emmy nominated interactive game designer, director of the Electronic Arts Game Innovation Lab; Peter Frankfurt, Emmy nominated producer and creative director of Imaginary Forces; Scott Fisher, virtual reality pioneer at NASA; and Geoff Manaugh, acclaimed author and editor of award winning architecture blog BLDGBLOG.
