| SCI-Arc's Development Office is responsible for raising funds and in-kind contributions from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government sources to support the school's mission. Working closely with board members, the Alumni Association, and the SCI-Arc Development Committee, the development staff engages in all facets of fund development, in an effort to diversify sources of support. SCI-Arc has survived solely on tuition for the past thirty years. The development office was established to leverage other funding streams, so that we can maintain affordable fees for our students, while allowing for continued growth and expansion.
The department develops an annual development plan and calendar, which includes a strategy for grant proposal submissions, direct mail appeals, and events that will highlight the work and accomplishments of the SCI-Arc community. We also produce a bi-annual newsletter that provides a means of communication with SCI-Arc constituents and recognizes our supporters for their philanthropy. And we work diligently to ensure we stay connected and in communication with our alumni. In addition, in an effort to enhance and expand SCI-Arc's Board of Directors, the development office works with the SCI-Arc Development Committee to identify and recruit new board members to help steer SCI-Arc into the future.
