SCI-Arc's MediaSCAPES is a one year, three term post-graduate degree program. Successful candidates receive a SCI-Arc Masters of Design Research Degree (MDesR) with specialization in Media Art and Architecture. The course is open to students with a professional degree in Architecture or a Bachelor degree or equivalent in related design fields. The program requires attendance for the Fall, Spring and Summer terms.
Founded and directed by Ed Keller, MediaSCAPES leverages significant emerging relationships within the technology, software, media, film and game spaces, to produce new content and ideas in a "thinktank R&D" environment. The program curriculum blends an intensive design studio culture with theory, research and practice. A cutting edge faculty team—with critics, lecturers, workshop leaders and guests drawn from academia and professional practice worldwide—provides students with training and a vital global network in both academic and professional contexts. For detailed information about the program, visit the MediaSCAPES page.
Prerequisites for MediaSCAPES:
Introduction to Digital Design - a short, intensive workshop offered prior to the fall term - is intended to provide entering students with the foundation in digital tools necessary to successfully undertake the demands of the MediaSCAPES Program.
