Private loans An alternative loan or private loan is a private educational loan made through a lender. The SCI-Arc preferred lender list for private loans may be found on the financial aid page of the SCI-Arc website. Private loans generally include processing fees and higher interest rates, so carefully evaluate the total cost including repayment before deciding to borrow. The combination of an alternative loan and all other financial aid or scholarships cannot exceed the student budget. The financial aid office certifies enrollment for most alternative loans. |
