What is it about architecture that drives you?
Architecture to me is more than just a major or a career path. It's a lifestyle that connects to all things around me. And I found that at SCI-Arc, Architecture is a common language that everybody speaks.

Why did you choose to attend SCI-Arc?
SCI-Arc is not your traditional architecture school teaching students the same architectural methods over the course of several years. SCI-Arcís curriculum is a model of learning architecture by experimentation, not just through studying theory and specific books.

What are the strengths of SCI-Arcís curriculum?
Students here interact with professional architects on a day-to-day basis, learn to use the latest technologies in the field, and experience a campus that is frequently described as one of the most unique environments to study Architecture.

What are the defining or unique characteristics of SCI-Arc students?
SCI-Arc students are hard workers, with a natural inclination to experience new things. No matter the work load, everyone in studio is very helpful and supportive, which makes for a pleasant and collaborative work environment.

What is your favorite studio experience?
I enjoy everything we do in studio. To also mention a few seminars, my colleagues and I learned a lot from our experiments in Complex Morphologies, as well as from building analysis and modeling conducted in our Advanced Tectonics class.

Have you been involved in projects outside of the required coursework?
I had a fantastic time helping thesis students with building their final physical model. I think experiencing thesis as you are preparing to start your journey at SCI-Arc is a great opportunity for incoming students to benchmark design ideas and interests and see how those develop as they progress in the program.

What are your plans upon graduation from SCI-Arc? How will your education at SCI-Arc help you achieve your goals in the future? As an architect, I believe my SCI-Arc experience will empower me to always explore unique ideas in design. Learning how to use the latest digital design software while in school will also make me very competitive in the job market.
