Join us August 28–29 for SCI-Arc’s 2026 Graduate Thesis Reviews, as 48 graduating M.Arch 1 and M.Arch 2 students present the culmination of a year of research, experimentation, and architectural production. Together, the projects offer a wide-ranging view of the questions, ideas, and possibilities shaping architecture today.

Graduate Thesis marks a key moment at SCI-Arc, bringing students, faculty, and invited critics together around the ideas and positions emerging from this year’s work. Guest critics from inside and outside the discipline join 15 faculty thesis advisors for conversations that challenge, expand, and situate each project within a broader architectural discourse.

“This year’s thesis projects reflect an increasing interest in architecture as something capable of transformation. Rather than beginning again, many projects work through what is already there - buildings, materials, systems, types, and ways of living, and ask what else they might become. Transformation becomes a way of producing new architectural ideas, allowing the existing and the new to inform one another.” says Jackilin Hah Bloom, Graduate Thesis Coordinator.

All projects will remain on view in the SCI-Arc building through September 11, as part of the 2026 Graduate Thesis Exhibition.
