SCI-Arc’s Kappe Library is the largest academic library in Southern California focused on architecture, and welcomes both students and outside architectural researchers.

The Kappe Library offers resources and assistance for exploring architecture and related disciplines.
The library’s 7000-square-foot facility at the north end of SCI-Arc’s Depot building provides self-serve open stacks with print books and magazines, public workstations, individual and group work areas, and circulation for audio-visual equipment and physical media, and SCI-Arc Media Services.
All architectural researchers are welcome, but only current students and faculty may borrow materials.
The library’s website – library.sciarc.edu – provides a catalog for print and e-books, links to online text, image and video resources, and research guides on architectural issues, history, and building types. The library’s EzProxy enables off-campus access to proprietary databases.
