Each summer, Graduate Thesis at SCI-Arc kicks off by welcoming back the recipients of the Gehry Thesis Prize to reflect on their work and contribute to the ongoing discourse with the next cohort. Join us on Wednesday, June 4th as Michael Boldt (M.Arch 1 ’24) and Benjamin Emer (M.Arch 2 ’24) return to present their thesis projects and discuss the ideas, methods, and turning points that shaped their work. A reception and alumni mixer will follow the presentations.

Michael Boldt.

Ben Elmer is a designer from Missoula, MT. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture. Ben is currently a Designer at Gehry Partners, LLP.

Michael Lane Boldt
is an architecturally trained designer living in Los Angeles. He holds a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Physics. His most recent focus is on exploring creative technologies and AI to automate and facilitate systems of material reuse, redistribution, and spoliation. He currently works as a freelance designer and a robotic technician at SCI-Arc.
