How we perceive the cultures and spaces around us is largely determined by mediums of fiction and entertainment. SCI-Arc’s Fiction and Entertainment postgraduate program engages the techniques of film, animation and gaming to imagine and visualize alternative worlds and tell new kinds of stories about the emerging conditions of the twenty-first century.

On August 30th at 7pm, join the graduates of the 2018/19 SCI-Arc EDGE Fiction & Entertainment class plus a cast of invited guests from the arts and entertainment industries for an evening of short films, digital environments, video games and immersive experiences. Guests include Hajnal Molnar-Szakacs (Film Fund Director at the Sundance Institute), Mike Hill (Concept Designer for productions such as Blade Runner 2049 and Love, Death and Robots), Kenric McDowell (Director of the Artists + Machine Intelligence program at Google Research), Samantha Gorman (Co-Founder of Tender Claws Games Studio), Andrew Thomas Huang (Director collaborating with artists such as Bjork and FKA Twigs), Natalie Sun (Director and founder at NextArt), Justin Trudeau (Set Designer at Marvel Entertainment), Seth Epstein (Emmy Award winning Director working with artists such as Dua Lipa and Drake and Co-Founder of Los York), Holly Willis (Chair of the Media Arts and Practice division in the USC School of Cinematic Arts), Daniel Tauber (Design Director at IDEO), Mike Ellis (Game Designer at Sony Santa Monica Studios), Monika Bielskyte (Visual Consultant and Founder of All Future Everything), Mike Tucker (Interactive Director with Magic Leap), and many more.
