Christina Christie Joins SCI-Arc Board of Trustees

SCI-Arc is pleased to welcome Christina (Tina) Christie to its Board of Trustees. A distinguished academic leader and researcher in education and evaluation, Dr. Christie brings deep experience in higher education leadership and a longstanding commitment to equity, innovation, and social impact.
Dr. Christie currently serves as Dean of the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies, where she oversees an $85 million annual budget and has led major initiatives in strategic planning, enrollment growth, and donor engagement. She previously served as Chair of UCLA’s Department of Education and has been recognized nationally for her contributions to the field of evaluation.
Her research—which explores the relationship between evaluation theory and its application to social betterment—has earned more than 100 academic publications and multiple awards, including the American Evaluation Association’s Distinguished Scholar Award.

Dr. Christie holds a Ph.D. in Social Research Methodology from UCLA and earlier degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Evaluation Association and held leadership roles in several national professional organizations.
Her appointment to the SCI-Arc Board reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to diverse perspectives, interdisciplinary thinking, and the advancement of education through innovation.
