Orin Torati is a Los Angeles-based creative director, designer, and educator working across moving/still image, new media, and live visual production. He is a co-founder and creative director of RAW, a studio specializing in diverse media, from live-action to CGI and AI tools. The studio’s methodologies integrate technological experimentation and various production pipelines to create radical new aesthetics and narratives through the creative (mis)use of technologies, which resonate with contemporary audiences in the arts, music, fashion, and culture industries. Through RAW, Orin has collaborated with artists including Halsey, Shakira, PinkPantheress, Major Lazer, Joji, girl in red, John Summit, Khruangbin, Perfume Genius, Mereba, Cassian, and Chencho Corleone. His commercial and film work includes projects with Meta, Allegiant Airlines, HBO, and HBO Max’s Random Acts of Flyness.

Orin has taught at KU Leuven’s Department of Architecture before teaching in the Fiction and Entertainment postgraduate program at SCI-Arc, where he focuses on narrative-driven environments and contemporary production methodologies. His pedagogy integrates his own experience of industry workflows with speculative design frameworks, encouraging students to engage critically with emerging technologies while developing new forms of storytelling across disciplines.
