Meet Iddris Sandu. The Ghana-born, Los Angeles-bred 22-year-old is a bit of an anomaly.

At 13, he was coding for Google.

By the age of 19, Everyone from Snapchat to Instagram to Uber had enlisted his services to write algorithms.

In 2016, He was honored by president Obama.

In 2017, he conceived the world’s first smart retail experience, The Marathon Store, with the late rapper Nipsey Hussle.

Later, he would align with fellow creative Kanye West for whom he would design an album cover and conceive stage design concepts alongside.

Sandu has also sat down with the likes of Spike Jonze and considers the principles exerted by Dieter Rams a key influence on his design process.

When he's not designing , he's spreading knowledge to the world through a method he likes to refer to as exposure ; a teaching which deals with the observation of the real-time.

He has given a TedTalk at 20, a lecture at Stanford University at 21 and earlier this year at 22 delivered a commencement speech at NYU .

His featured plans circulate around unveiling a high-tech parking meter that will be released in 2020 as well as building a state of the art school in West Africa.

Design In The Tech Driven Age. A deep dive into the period that will forever defined it all.

As we start to move into a world of internet connected devices and prefab utilities; how can we study and be attentive to design in modern culture to improve our world.

What are some disciplines we can learn, and guides we can apply? Do we have all the answers? Are we looking closely enough?
