Pay Scale: $27.00 - $30.00 / hour
Schedule: On-site, 24 hours/week

Summary:

Reporting to the A/V Manager, the A/V Technician will support the Media Department and SCI-Arc’s teleconferencing classrooms. The position will provide general technical assistance for teleconferencing classrooms, videography, lighting, sound engineering, live-streaming, live-event audio engineering and video/computer display concerns. The A/V Technician will conduct teleconferencing classroom tech, equipment and software demonstrations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all technical aspects of SCI-Arc’s teleconferencing classrooms
  • Training students, faculty and staff on the use of SCI-Arc’s teleconferencing classrooms
  • Set-up, operate and maintain logistics for P.A.’s, amplifiers and digital/analog sound systems
  • Set up video display output and projection concerns across all platforms including both Apple and PC
  • Broadcast live events to live-streaming platforms
  • Operate prosumer broadcast cameras and their armatures for live events
  • Ingest, organize and edit media from event documentation to the SCI-Arc Media Archive
  • Record and edit audio for voice-over, interviews, and podcasts
  • General equipment and media troubleshooting
  • General maintenance of Media Department office and A/V equipment
  • Aid in the supervision of student workers, schedule creation and event organization/development
  • Conduct equipment and software demonstrations as needed
  • Other tasks, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training in video production, teleconferencing tech, and audio production
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Keen operational knowledge of DSLR video cameras, action cameras, lighting equipment and audio equipment
  • Keen operational knowledge of Adobe post-production software including Premiere Pro
  • Operational knowledge of digital and analog audio mixing and recording devices
  • Knowledge of PC and MAC platforms
  • Knowledge of Livestream Studio and OBS streaming software and streaming platforms YouTube Live, Livestream, Vimeo, Zoom and Twitch
  • Teleconferencing infrastructure knowledge for settings such as boardrooms, offices, classrooms, theaters
  • Detail oriented, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
