Pay Scale: $27.89 - $29.81 per hour
Schedule: Eligible for Hybrid Schedule after completing training period

Summary:

The Development Coordinator serves as a key member of the Development team, providing operational and administrative support for fundraising, donor stewardship, prospect research, and advancement services. Working closely with the Director of Development and collaborating across departments, this position helps identify and engage prospective donors, maintain accurate donor records, coordinate stewardship activities, and support fundraising initiatives that advance the institution's mission.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, proactive, and committed to providing exceptional service to donors, alumni, volunteers, and community partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prospect Research and Donor Stewardship

Support the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donors and prospects

  • Research and qualify prospective donors, corporate partners, foundations, alumni, and community supporters
  • Prepare donor profiles, briefing materials, and prospect research reports
  • Maintain prospect pipelines and track donor engagement activities
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgments, stewardship communications, and follow-up activities to ensure meaningful donor engagement

Gift Administration and Advancement Services

Ensure the accurate processing, tracking, and reporting of charitable contributions

  • Process gifts, pledges, memberships, matching gifts, and in-kind contributions
  • Maintain donor and gift records within Jenzabar and related systems
  • Generate fundraising, donor, and pipeline reports
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Department to reconcile gifts, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and support financial reporting
  • Maintain data integrity through ongoing record maintenance and database management

Development Operations and Engagement

Provide the infrastructure and support that drives successful fundraising efforts

  • Maintain donor contact reports, fundraising records, and stewardship tracking systems
  • Support annual giving, membership, campaign, and donor engagement initiatives
  • Assist with development-related website updates, online giving pages, and donor recognition listings
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for fundraising events, donor cultivation activities, volunteer engagement efforts, and special projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three years of experience in fundraising, advancement services, donor relations, nonprofit administration, or a related field
  • Experience with gift processing and constituent database management
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Preferred:

  • Experience with Jenzabar One or a comparable CRM/database system
  • Experience in higher education, arts, architecture, or nonprofit organizations
  • Knowledge of fundraising operations, donor stewardship, and prospect research best practices
